LAPD bomb squad investigates suspicious package in Koreatown:
The Los Angeles Police Department dispatched its bomb squad to investigate a suspicious package found outside of a church in Koreatown, an LAPD spokesman reported.
Police cordoned off the area around the Church of Christ at 635 S. Manhattan Place and began evacuating nearby residents after the suspicious package report was received at 9:22 a.m., said Officer Cleon Joseph.
Bomb disposal experts were still trying to determine whether the package posed a risk to the area two hours later, said Joseph, who declined to provide any further
description.
